Stewart Mbofana

I am a software developer and aspiring mathematician

based in Cape Town, South Africa

I have worked on multiple projects spanning different technologies and in varying enterprise settings, since 2011.

On the Microsoft windows platform, I have worked with most of the front-end frameworks including Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Silverlight, WinForms, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and ASP.Net. This includes the data access technologies Entity Framework (EF) and ADO.Net datasets on top of Microsft SQL Server databases.

I first got Microsoft Certified in April 2012 as a technology specialist for WPF and WinForms technologies. After that I embraced the web and went on to qualify as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer - Web Applications in April 2013. Being Microsoft Certified expounded my understanding of not only the current web trends but also Mobile frameworks like Apache Cordova etc. I have written two Windows Phone 8 apps called the Black Scholes Calculator and Implied Volatility Calculator, both from financial mathematics background.

On JAVA, I have worked with Maven, Ant, JBoss and Oracle Weblogic Server using Eclipse in an enterprise setting.
